Description
El Dorado 12 Year Old Rum is presented in a bottle honouring the flasks discarded by Dutch sailors and then used Guyanan sugar planters as a vessel to hold their early rums. A blend of spirit from 3 stills, a wooden Enmore two-column, a French Savalle four-column and a unique Port Mourant double wooden pot still. Rich amber in colour. A super attractive nose packed with aromas of sugar, honey, banana, toffee, raisin and sultanas. Ripe, rich and balanced flavours attend with sweetness, after which the finish is elegant and dry.
An elegant multi-award winning rum.
Lush tropical fruit and spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar. Full bodied palate with rich flavours of fruit and spice.

IWSC Awards Tasting Note: Deep, old gold colour. Big, inviting, complex nose with prune, raisin, honey, clove and nutmeg. Full, but elegant entry into the mouth where layers of flavour follow the nose with addition of treacle, old marmalade. Super smooth and soft in the mouth with great density and silky flow. Some ripe, tropical flavours appear as does a light oak note. Long and pleasing finish.
